Sheepvention

Hamilton Sheepvention has since its inception in 1979, grown into one of the biggest and prestigious rural events in Australia, with an attendance in excess of 25,000 people in 2008, coming from all states of Australia and New Zealand. There are over 500 sites offering a variety of services, information and products and various sheep breeds are the main focus of Sheepvention and therefore is the perfect opportunity to promote the Coopworth breed.

2010
Hamilton Sheepvention will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of August 2010.
Coopworth Genetics Australia will be in the Sheep Marquee and will again be featuring 2 New Zealand sires, Cairlea 742 and Marlow 5203 who are continuing to be amongst the leading New Zealand rams and have been used by Australian Coopworth breeders.
Along with this, we will be promoting the efficiency of the Coopworth productive system.
We will be looking for contribution from all members to be on the stand. Please contact Tim Johnston on (03) 55756 236 to book a time that suits you.

2009
Coopworth Genetics Australia’s site is in Sheep Marquee Site 335 and this year displayed information from two leading New Zealand sires used last season; Cairlea 742 and Marlow 452/03.  These rams are featured to have the highest Wwt and Pwwt EBV’s for straight Coopworths.  The site also displayed the recent results and publications from the EverGraze project.
